1974 Norton Commando Project

Sold 12/04/2013

1974 Norton Commando, salvage title
9500 original miles
2nd owner since 1982
All original, unrestored wear and tear prior to accident.

Ran great up until hitting the car. Low speed damage, no road rash (car turned left at the intersection, the owner suffered more damage than the bike).

What it needs... Basically drop the front end off at the triple trees and install a new front end, new handlebars, take the dent out of the tank, straighten, or replace the seat. This bike has sat in my garage for two months, no oil on the floor, the fuel tank has a knee dent, but doesn't leak. The engine kicks over and the transmission shifts through the gears.

There is a slight tweak in the down tubes. In my opinion if you were to bolt the frame down, and used a long bar in the neck you could straighten it. Check the internet, it seems to be the weakest spot on Norton frames.

$2500.00, or best offer. Easy fix for some one with all the parts, ride it with the original patina. I have a soft spot for bsa, triumph, Harley, not so much Norton.
